Having watched decades of movie and TV adaptations, willing to understand budget limitations. Watched it last night and today, enjoyed it. But you're smarter and funnier than me so troll away.

Oh for sure. This definitely wasn't the "unlimited budget" dream look anyone working on this wanted.
A cheaper option would have been to do nothing and let the actors use their human hair. The characters age slowly and are God like, plus it's easy to tell time has passed.
