As a business owner, please tell me why I have to pay someone for not working? I have no problem keeping someone’s job on the back burner. But I refuse to pay for someone’s decision to have a child. Absolutely ridiculous. Should be the owners decision, not mandatory

It's not your responsibility it is a perk. Studies have found that people will work harder and longer in environments where they feel appreciated and rewarded. You don't have to give PTO but you will end up with a bunch of 2-star and not 5-star employees
