As an Englishman in Wales, I like the Welsh language. It's largely unfathomable to me (though the bf helps, he's mostly fluent) and often amusing to see (like how "pets" is "anifeiliaid anwes" which is HELLA LONGER) but if you don't like Welsh in Wales? Maybe fuck off?
This reminds me of the time someone came up to me in Tesco with a pack of Welsh beef and were like "what's THIS?" pointing at the word Cig Eidion, and he was incredulous, and weirdly ANGRY, that a Welsh product (IN WALES) might feature Welsh words on it.https://twitter.com/sheikyerbouti_/status/964802721256701952 …
