    Finally, we uncovered mysterious ~7 Hz oscillations in rat motor cortex during a timed motor task. Unlike the osc. in primates, these were NOT aligned to LFP, nor to any motor behaviors we measured. We would have likely overlooked this entirely if we hadn’t tried time warping!

    In primate motor/premotor cortex, we used time warping to account for movement reaction times, and also revealed beta-band oscillations during preparatory activity. This 2nd result replicates a finding in the LFADS paper () with a simpler model!

    On mouse olfactory responses, we used time warping to reveal the presence of precise sensory responses, accounting for variability in inhalation. (this dovetails nicely with recent work by , -- )
