Totally looking forward to this event with on 4/15 where we'll screen and discuss ADVISE AND CONSENT, for my money the most fascinating Hollywood movie ever made about Washington.

The greatest film about American politics was also the first to depict a gay character explicitly on screen. Come see ADVISE AND CONSENT this April on the big screen @AFISilver and hear @Isikoff and me discuss its fascinating history. silver.afi.com/Browsing/Movie

A truly scary talk with of about the almost "god-like" spyware that autocratic govts. are using to infect and suck up data from the phones of anybody who criticizes them.

NEW: We sit down w/ @RonDeibert, director @citizenlab, to talk about the “mercenary #spyware” industry and its proclivity for empowering autocrats with “almost god-like” spyware - assuming they can afford, of course. @Isikoff @dklaidman @VBass @YahooNews art19.com/shows/skulldug

All of which explains why , among others, concluded that Museveni's invite to the WH Summit is a case, at the very least, of "terrible optics": the Chinese briber goes to prison while the accused bribe recipient gets feted by WH and State.
Quote Tweet
medium.com/@miltonallimad Just the optics are terrible around the invitation to #Ugandan #murderous #Kleptocrat @museveni considering that #PatrickHo who bribed the dictator also made reported payments of up to $4.8 million to @POTUS son #Hunter medium.com/@miltonallimad

As it turns out, Ho was actually trying to reach James' nephew, Hunter Biden who later got a $1 million retainer from Ho (although there is no evidence he played any role in Ho's defense.) This is part of $4.8 mill that flowed Ho's CEFC to the 2 Bidens
