It would be nice to think doctors at one of Japan's most prestigious university hospitals would behave with caution. Nope. 40 of them went and had a party and now 18 are infected. https://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/html/20200407/k10012371461000.html …

Someone kindly pointed out that these people were actually residents -- people who have graduated from a six-year medical school, but not yet completed their two years of postgraduate training. So, that's all right then.

臭いもの蓋しおう🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵(Kusao mono futashiou) “put a lid on smelly things” Same w/Fukushima plant disaster coverups at the time. “Move on folks. Nothing to see here.” Or denial that Japan was defeated but stubborn resistance to the end by gunbu w/Hiro and Naga as a result. Sad.

When “ningen kankei”, “skinship”, “o-tsukiai”, “nominication” etc are the deep underpinnings of a culture & govern the interactions of its people, it’s going to be so DAMN hard to get folks to behave otherwise and drop these customs overnight. Japan’s Achilles Heel on this one😟

Probably someone already corrected you but I'm doing it just to be sure. What you wrote is spreading misinformation, they're not yet "doctors".https://ejje.weblio.jp/sentence/content/%E7%A0%94%E4%BF%AE%E5%8C%BB …
