I'd have thought Disney would have been involved in a lot of the decision making involved in lootboxes in the first place. Could be way off the mark in how that works though.
Having worked at Disney I'd say most happenings in console/PC games are above its expertise. However they will definitely have extensive control over their IP/brand; if they smell bad PR they will come down hard.
