Valve having a hand in the one area which has troubled the scene- scheduling- could make DOTA more accessible for all parties.
Depending on how restrictive the criteria Valve has for third parties, we could have more tournaments on our hands = more for tier 2 teams.

Great read! As you say too early to tell;aside from LAN finals, no idea if they'll be other conditions like format/no. of team restrictions.
