This change probably encourages teams to stay together longer, depending on how roster locks and point allocation feed in.

If crowdfunding is back on the cards for third parties, we could have some majorly fun tournaments on our hands with big prizes (Epi & BTS).

Absolutely. Having done this myself for another esport, you have to be incredibly careful to cover every scenario possible.
