I don’t know one successful leader whom everyone *does* love. In my view, the question is: Has Mayor Pete learned enough from his local failures to become an outstanding national leader? (Which, given America, would mean being a global leader.) What say you?

Sadly, we - I - are as susceptible to the comfort of latching on to a candidate as to political labels. We - I - are as drawn to surety as nuzzling newborns. Very difficult not to declare, “I love Pete. He’s my guy.” I barely know more than his genius and political affiliation.
