    The $15 minimum wage must be in the reconciliation bill, or it almost certainly isn't going to happen. The Biden White House knows this, and is still somehow bullshitting everyone by pretending it may happen at some future undefined time. It has to happen now. Not later. NOW.

    I can be the lead lawyer or advocate on something and still not be quoted. It is intentional. And the cis people taking interviews are part of it. The movement to frame our existence as a debate depends on us not speaking.

    Not one single trans person is quoted in this article about the Equality Act passing today, but they did give three extreme anti-trans bigots a chance to spread hatred. Do better.

    Except that’s ... not how any of this actually works. Companies would immediately begin removing enormous amounts of content in order to avoid potential liability. You really think FB is gonna show up in court to defend trans ppl or dissidents? Nah they’re gonna cover their butts

    23-year-old me would also be pretty upset to know I'd completely abandon my principles later in life just because those things were being done by a Democrat. Thankfully for me, "maturing" meant becoming even more steadfast in my values rather than the opposite.

    If I told my 23 year old, anti-war self that I defended bombing Syria, Cuomo in his scandals, and the Senate parliamentarian this week, they would be confused. But I only hope the current young lefties mature on tough subjects too.
