    In 1928, Duke Slater attended Iowa Law, earning his law degree. He became the second African-American appointed to a judgeship in Chicago was known as being a "fair" judge. In 2020, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame & we are so proud of all that he accomplished 💛

    Every four years, the political world comes to Iowa for the caucuses. Now, a new program is allowing students an incredible look into life in Washington, D.C.:

    The National Mall in Washington D.C.

    Professor David C. Baldus worked at Iowa Law for 42 years until his passing in 2011; however, his work is still just as influential and being published. His final paper will be published in the Journal of Empirical Legal Studies
