Pre-Trial Chamber I judges, by majority, conclude that the #ICC’s territorial jurisdiction in the Situation in #Palestine, a State party to the ICC #RomeStatute, extends to the territories occupied by Israel since 1967, namely Gaza & the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
The Judges’ decision on territorial jurisdiction follows request from #ICC Prosecutor: https://www.icc-cpi.int/Pages/item.aspx?name=20191220-otp-statement-palestine … A decision on opening an investigation in #Palestine is in the remit of the ICC Prosecutor.
