Perfect example of the ad hominem fallacy. If the video presents an inaccurate representation of how police respond to requests of how to file a complaint, it should be pretty easy to debunk. That you choose the ad hominem suggests to me the video is accurate.

Yes and no. The source doesn’t invalidate any one specific video, and this one looks legit (I retweeted it this morning.) BUT it’s good to know the source because Russian policy is to hide disinfo among legit info to sow doubt, so I’m glad to know!

Had this happen to me 20+ years ago... ended up having to talk to the Chief who talked me out of filing a report via suggestive threats. Nothing has changed. Cops protect cops. We need civilian oversight.

If I end up behind a police cruiser without lights on I match speed out of curiosity. Every time, without fail, I find myself 10 miles per hour over the speed limit w/ them still pulling away. They recently built a police station near us & they always go 40 on our 25mph road.

I haven’t trusted police since I was a kid and it all stems from one incident: we were in a traffic jam and a police cruiser sped by on the shoulder doing at least 50 with lights on only to pull into, no joke, a donut shop. No emergency, just abusing power to get donuts.

I was friends with cops... I dated someone whose family was full of cops... I saw first-hand how easily corrupted cops are when a friend or family member needs help. It's not sinister like on TV or in the movies. But scary... how easy it appears to be to get them to do it.

A lot of it seems to come from a defensive place—a product of an “us versus them” mentality that serves no one, including themselves.
