I can’t say when they will be announced, but my best guess would either be shortly after WWDC, or possibly later this year at a special event, alongside the announcement of iPhone 13.

I don’t think we’ll see them at an event tbh since Apple has been consistently announcing every major AirPods release via a press release for the last few years. But yes, a press release shortly after WWDC is certainly plausible.
