It turns out I was right about AirTags using a CR2032 battery, also known as a “watch battery”. It makes sense though. I’d bet that Apple will release a new version next year that is MagSafe compatible and charge way more money for it.

Would people pay more money for that? I really doubt it.
Apple somehow manages to sell people on the smallest of upgrades, so yeah, probably.
