  2. Autumn is a season of great...chemistry?? We owe the rich hues of fall to two groups of compounds: carotenoids and flavonoids. Both help color Yosemite's yellow maples and pink dogwoods (you can also find carotenoids in orange carrots and red tomatoes). What color is your fall?
