I'm hoping a driver update will bring it to existing dGPUs.
Yay!!!! Open standards FTW! Thank you, @IntelGraphics! :-)

This was promised back in 2015 https://techreport.com/news/28865/intel-plans-to-support-vesa-adaptive-sync-displays … I will remain sceptical but I do hope existing iGPUs will get it in the future.
IMO there's a big difference between now and then. That is, back then they weren't willing to give any firm commitments or an "on the record" quote. That changed when I argued with @dylan522p that your source was essentially worthless because it lacked a direct quote
You hear that @nvidia? About time you guys also support the @AMD /@VESADisplay adaptive sync STANDARD. Kudos @IntelGraphics @gfxlisa! Much appreciated!pic.twitter.com/RQmJiY61cz
They do support it, they just won't turn it on because their GSync is 'licensed' along with their display controller silicon for a large fee. It is also proprietary lock in. Every #Nvidia
laptop has it turned on though, it has to for power use reasons.
