    I feel this, I read a lot of queer YA for and even tho I often feel more accepting parents are kind of unrealistic(based on my personal experience) I breathe a sigh of relief when they are better than that.

    i just can't watch depictions of homophobic parents. i've had enough of that in my actual life. it just makes me angry. and i hate it when the child has to "give them time." like why do you need so much time to be not a jackass??
