      [3/3] This is like the “ballistic ellipse” formed by the highest points on the parabolas of projectiles launched with the same speed in a constant gravitational field (h/t @LucasVB). The *envelope* of the trajectories is a parabola in that case, and an ellipse for the orbits.pic.twitter.com/jW2Yz1sH4a
