There are some streams that aren't even pointing in the general direction of the chunk, though (eg. far left at very beginning). Would that still hold?

you mean the one nearly vertical? i'm not sure what caused that, but am very doubtful that it's quantum uncertainty .. perhaps someone with more knowledge of potential flaws in the designs of cloud chambers could be of assistance
