Hey just because it has a bell shape doesn't mean it's gaussian, it could be 1/cosh which looks locally exponential
1/(cosh(x)^2), derivative of tanh(x). Logistic function (total cases) is a scaled and shifted tanh.
Oops. Forgot the minus sign. A gaussian is an exponential with a negative quadratic as input.
