Yeah, it makes it hard to 'play' with things by changing the parameters and running it again. Recently I've been learning a bit of webGL. It amazingly renders stuff like this in realtime even on my old laptop. But it's sadly much more work to use than Mathematica.

yea i've thought about learning shaders but it seems like a huge time commitment, but they seem amazing .. yea when i'm playing with stuff i usually just do a few frames or lower resolution
