This does not seem right. Should not the equipotentials be ellipses of changing eccentricity? Is acceleration really that weird? Gah! I'll have to try myself later.
I just evolved as usual under the Liensrt Wiechert potentials.. I used the near field approximation to avoid having to compute restated times
