Good question.. I’ve got to work that out. I used natural units and the entire oscillation takes about 150 units where I normalized the ground state energy to unity.. so gotta do the conversion

How long did it take you to render this in Mathematica? Long ago I used to make these types of visualizations as well, just for fun, but I gave up over how annoyingly slow it was to render anything graphical in Mathematica.

the more complex things take a bit longer .. to get it this smooth i think it took around an hour or so for it to render

That's a neat question.. would need to take the Fourier transform of the total wave function (which is the superposition of the H energy states) and then take the modulus squared of the result
