How about the one no one pronounced correctly. Latex as Lay-Tecks or even Lay-Teck, when it's actually Lah-Teck
when i was undergrad i once pronounced Numpy as 'numb pee' in front of at least 5 people. i still think about it.

In undergrad, I pronounced 'scipy' as 'spicy' a few times because I didn't take the time to actually read it

IIRC, I audited a Python class where the instructor also pronounced it that way, so maybe you were right! I believe the same professor pronounced Scipy as "skippy"
