      What parameters am I ignoring? The ‘fancy’ colors are the arg of the spherical harmonic, which is why you see it repeat after a half-rotation

      Well, translational, rotational and vibrational degrees of freedom are imho nothing that help understand the essence of electron density or core composition of different atoms.

      Physics is describing measurable parameters with formulas - like the speed and position of a car. But what is the color of the car? Can I accept that my theory is not enough either?
