This is certainly true for fundamental forces but might not be necessary for gravity in an emerging gravity scenario. Then gravity might just be a next to leading order correction to the fundamental forces (which would btw explain why it is so weak).
I.e. You have to assume that everything will eventually be described by a QFT? Or what are the assumptions going into this?
