I share many of these sentiments.. As a frustrated particle theory PhD student, I wish we could just take a break from churning out papers on EFTs for dark matter and just collect our thoughts for a second

i read it as, yes, we have had anomalous findings but we don't understand them theoretically (e.g. muon g-2 anomaly)
