why arent planks harmonic oscillators studied there theoretically used as a constant with charge variant but the field that is the least amount of energy u can get to do work which is the weak field ....ohh wait i answerd my own question :) oops is it ?

Does the term 'soliton' generally imply nonlinear diff-eqs? I wonder because with linear wave eqns without dispersion, *any* wave packet will maintain shape (and in the presence of dispersion, none will maintain shape).
