What do you mean, can you explain your opposition to someone who doesn’t have a background in this, and will take Elon’s tweet at face value.
If you have a quantum state in a superposition, 'where the particle is' is an ill defined concept. If you set up a detector to try and find out which slit it went through the interference pattern disappears. Why? because to detect it means to blast the electron with a photon
