        I added the blue background light to give the image some depth, it's not part of the actual CMB. Some people don't like it, but i think it looks cool so whatever.

        Some 3d vis libraries allow you to put the 'camera' inside the sphere in case this seems interesting as well. For instance (I think) Java 3D (OpenGL too?) does this and can be hooked up to mouse events. I haven't played with Java 3D for over 15 years, tho.
