They make equivalent physical predictions. The lagrangian isn’t a physical thing.
Although I love 3blue1brown, I think this isn't the best way to animate equations, I think the animation primitives designed by James Blinn for the mechanical universe (which he called "algebraic ballet"), aid more to understanding.
