      What counts as advanced abstract algebra? There are certainly areas of physics that rely on various aspects of group theory, but I’m not sure whether that counts in your book or not.

      Okay. I guess any concept of aa in it's full form, idk maybe the wrong terminology. What I specifically would like to know is if algebraic topology plays any role in physics? group theory is used in SM & gauge theory i suppose.

      Algebraic topology is huge in modern physics — it’s needed for an in-depth understanding of gauge theories (even electromagnetism), for instance. Representation theory is even more fundamental, and Lie group are *everywhere*.
