Shout-out to those I've seen diving into this Feynman fiasco (I know I saw at least @InertialObservr @astroparticular @litgenstein @starstrickenSF @Astropartigirl @CA_AstroComm ), you all are doing important work with this, and demonstrating inhuman patience.

The whole tirade over pointing out that Feynman was sexist and shouldn't be glorified *except* for his contributions to physics is exactly what's wrong with the world. Dillon did a great thing by pointing it out and didn't deserve the attack. I know what it's like and it sucks.

Honestly, let this whole ordeal be a case study in why it's difficult for women to speak up about this kind of stuff. Here we saw a *man* bring it up, about a dead guy, and still saw this backlash. People are way too quick cry “character assassination” at valid criticism.

yes, however i think it's a slightly different attack. A lot of the attacks on me were for being a "low testosterone white simping virtue signaler who is just trying to get laid", which is rather contradictory tbh In the cases of women: different insults, same bigotry.
