1. The tweet I responded to is what popped up on my feed and not a thread. 2. I still disagree with your conclusion that he was predatory by the standards of his time. Holding to him to our standards is a little irrational. 3. The article linked misrepresents his bar quote.
(1) that’s your defense, really? (2) his time..? That was like 60 years ago bro when ‘manners’ were even more pervasive than now .. his contemporaries said the same.. also he abused women so there’s that that I’m sure you’re ready to defend (3) ..

1. I know you like assuming intent but I can assure you I know it better than you. Yes, that’s what really happened. 2. The way men approached women back then was different. Men were more persistent and what today we would call “creepy.”
