Great chance to teach it the way you’d have liked to learn it. Otherwise you’ll just hate it again and the students will hate it too

Someone once told me the first (& maybe 2nd) time you teach a class, you do a crummy job trying to figure out how to do it well; total learning low. Then you go through a couple cycles of good teaching & learning. Then eventually you get bored & as a result learning declines.
