To my knowledge it's never been debunked. But I can't rule out drones for the alternating light show. Possibly the large ball of fire in the beginning is a weird lens flare or a firework flare being lit off from the drone.Then again it seems really far away so itd have to be big.

Not 100% sure but I recall this being debunked. A mix of CGI and then filming in front of a green screen
