that's true, though i'm pretty sure most people just think that CP violation could be used to solve the baryonic asymmetry problem, not that it must

Most people have never heard of CP violation. So insinuating that it leads directly to baryogenesis is malpractice. It’s intrinsically interesting, no need to exaggerate.
