Yeah, this is just a composition of three small twist deformations orbiting inside of a larger twist deformation, but the total effect is order dependent and each twist is about a single point. I think the next step is to start twisting about closed loops / tangles of splines.

My secret crazy motivation is a belief that real geometry is behind many abstractions in quantum mechanics, mostly motivated by David Hestenes' work on GA (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Hestenes …). Hoping that exploring physical deformations might lead to tangible analogs for some QM behaviors!

Tl;dr: geometric algebra endows grassman and clifford algebras with intuitive geometric interpretations and unifies concepts across linear algebra and various other fields in an unreasonably elegant way.
