      Yes, that's why the equation is relativistic, but for the error correction to matter it would require velocities near light speed and that's rare around here.

          I'm familiar with subatomic cherenkov radiation as a naval submarine nuke, so I understand where you're coming from, but again we're talking about the casual observer on the street in which case it makes little difference.
