Good question I think you’re conflating the shape of *space* with the shape itself, when embedded in higher dimensions Sounds fancy, but think about it like this: how could you tell you were living on a sphere without the ability to “look up” (1/2)
Contrast this to living on a flat plane without the ability to ‘look up’.. how could you tell the two apart?
