Unfortunately the Casimir Effect only exhibits a *lower* but still positive energy density as compared to its surroundings. Not negative energy which is still unobserved.

I'll believe Warp Drives are actually possible when someone builds one. I've been waiting since the 1950s for commercial fusion energy. And at least we know fusion energy is real, just extremely difficult to build.
