Pardon the question, distinctly undergrad-level Physics knowledge here: Does the color shift near the event horizon represent anything in particular? It seems strange that there seem to be different ones in each quadrant.

no i don't believe the colors mean anything as he appears to ignore gravitational redshift in the documentation
