Lenz's Law ('Magnetic Braking') is one of my favorite physical phenomena •The moving magnet induces a current in the pipe •This current creates another magnetic field, opposite to the direction of the falling magnet! (Note: the pipe is not magnetized !!)pic.twitter.com/2QBycVNOky

I want to believe it depends, among other parameters, of the conductivity of the pipe. in one extreme, if it were a superconductor the magnet would refuse to enter the pipe. (?)
