Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution has been as unquestioned as Newton’s theory of gravity. But science never stops asking questions. Or at least it’s not supposed to. Stephen Meyer explains why #evolution leaves some serious questions unanswered.pic.twitter.com/jqU8hhy6lw

Stephen Meyer's PHD is in Science History. Yet, he knows better than Molecular Biologists. Makes sense.

Except they’re called “theories” because they can’t be proven... so what do molecular biologists really “know”? 🤨

Whether something is a theory doesn’t tend to have anything to do with whether it’s “proven” in science. The most robustly confirmed empirical frameworks we have are theories (e.g., QM and GR).

Actually, that’s quite literally why they’re called theories. Because there isn’t enough scentifial proof to call it scientific law. The Big Bang theory is just the most ambiguous.

It's so gross. At some level, being intellectually honest to a fault somehow means like you know nothing. Compared to other claims routinely put forth by the right, these theories are knowledge.

Of course they're theories. It's being so willing to be wrong that gives them that status. But find an equal theory that's willing to be scrutinized to the same degree. That should be it's only competition.
