so why study theoretical physics? the existence of ufos contradicts whats the textbooks tell us.
not necessarily .. it's just that it's not the whole story .. not all wrongs are equally wrong .. and physics certainly gets plenty of things right .. and whatever is true must be consistent with what we currently know
