Well it is a non point electric field that the droplet experiences. But it would hold true if both were point charges right ?
It’s a finite line charge with some (probably) awkward charge distribution.. I’m unsure of your question and what it has to do with gravity

The question is would the analog of electric charge and gravity be correct. If in both cases only point charges and point masses would be considered. Which should be derivable from your initial tweet, if I understood correctly.
