But the wheel is distorted due to the motion of its parts with reference to the observer, right? And the prop is just distorted according to the y-axis. So it’s not really related.
no the wheel is distorted because of (1) length contraction and (2) the finite speed of light .. the rolling shutter creates a spatially dependent differential time lag, in a very similar way that the finite speed of light does
