I actually don’t think this is coincidence .. rolling shutters scan the entire image very quickly instead of capturing all at once it’s actually easy to see how this can then give the appearance of a time-lag between light rays gonna have to think about this more..

Rotating at speed of light? It is a very well known effect caused by non instantaneous capture of a frame by the ccd sensor, I mean first line of ccd capture with a lag from last line
